In this role, you will turn engineering drawings into accurately fitted steel components and machinery assemblies used in sawmills across the globe. Your primary focus will be the layout, fit-up, alignment, and assembly of heavy-duty steel components for log decks, conveyors, trimmers, stackers, edgers, carriages, and automated handling systems. You will work from engineering drawings to position and secure components to specified dimensions and tolerances. This hands-on role requires strong blueprint-reading skills, mechanical aptitude, precision, and a commitment to quality and safety. Tack welding and welding will support fitting and assembly as required.
